STUN only discovers your public address for a direct connection — it never carries file data. When two peers both sit behind strict (symmetric) NAT, a direct connection isn't possible and this app relays the transfer instead of using a paid TURN server. This page tests your side; a real transfer also depends on the other peer's network.
